I just picked up one quick souvenir of Thailand, this butterfly pillow cover from the legendary Thai silk house of Jim Thompson, although this one is a casual cotton. I think I’ll use it in the back bedroom/TV room with other items shown here and here. If not, it will look lovely on the dark green wicker furniture on the front porch.
I am hoping to post extensively on antiques in Hong Kong this week while simultaneously trying my hand at a bit of home-schooling. Wish me luck!

Did you check out the lacquer in the River City shopping complex?

Basically didn’t leave the resort…

You’re good- I’d rather drink radiated water than home school.

LOL! My worst nightmare too, but I want the week with Tom…

Lovely cushion, I loved the Jim Thompson collection when we visited Thailand last year, can’t resist picking up little gifts from the gift store in Bangkok airport.
So you aren’t coming back just yet? Good luck with the home schooling, I am on the same page as amblerangel, having teenagers, we probably have a different feeling than you as you have younger children, easier to manipulate, when they get to our children’s ages, the tables turn, just wait and see!
Enjoy Hong Kong and keep all the lovely posts coming.
One good thing about being away for me, was that when we returned yesterday and I opened our mail box, all my lovely magazine subscriptions had filled it, lots of pretties to look at.

I’ll be back at the end of the week! Looking forward to restarting my regular life….
